Tara Hattendorf is an Associate Attorney at Stone | Dean LLP, focusing her practice on Employment Defense. Her practice includes representing employers throughout the process of lawsuits and administrative hearings, as well as providing advice and counseling on best practices to ensure compliance with California’s employment laws.
Prior to joining Stone | Dean, Tara worked at a national law firm practicing employment defense, and at small firms in Los Angeles where she practiced plaintiff-side employment law. While in law school at the USC Gould School of Law, she gained experience working in internships with the California Office of the Attorney General, Civil Rights Enforcement Section, and with Public Counsel in its Center for Veterans Advancement. She additionally served as a Senior Copy Editor of the Review of Law & Social Justice, and a Copy Editor of the USC Entertainment Law Spotlight.
Tara earned her J.D. at the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law, in 2019. She earned a B.S. in History, Political Studies, and Ethics at Pacific Union College in 2016. She is admitted to practice law in California.
In her free time, Tara enjoys exploring Los Angeles, learning about anthropology, and discussing Taylor Swift’s impact on society.
