PRESENTATION
Dropping The Ball: Risk Transfer and Unrealized Expectations from Insurance Coverage for Trust Owned Residences
With the many nuances of estate planning, real estate transfer and insurance law coverage, protecting clients from gaps in insurance coverage can be tricky. A simple transfer of title from individuals to a trust can potentially defeat insurance coverage. The situation can be further complicated by the death of the individual which triggers changes from a living trust to an irrevocable trust.
The speakers will address the insurance coverage issues that professionals should understand when helping clients protect their real estate from liability and damage. Case studies will be presented and the types of coverages afforded to each type of property will be highlighted. This will cover homeowners as well as umbrella policies for owner-occupied as well as investment residential properties.
Event space is limited and reservations must be completed by this Friday, March 9. The course will provide one (1) hour of CLE Credit as well as one (1) hour of Legal Specialization Credit in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law.
