Social Conscience Committee Partners with Kids Movement
Stone | Dean partnered with Kids Movement this week to provide lunches to under-privileged persons living on Skid-Row in Downtown LA. The firm donated 91lbs. of ham and turkey lunch meat which was used to make 2000 sandwiches that were distributed by-hand. Each lunch bag contained a sandwich, cookie, fruit, chips, water bottle, socks and an inspirational note.
Kori Macksoud, chairperson of Stone | Dean’s Social Conscience Committee, facilitated SD’s participation and personally took-part in the package-making and distribution. Kori had this to say:
“Kids Movement and the individual recipients were very grateful for the firm’s generosity. It was a really great hands-on experience making a difference in the community. I cannot think of a better way to have spent a Sunday morning.”
A big thanks to Kori and Kids Movement for truly making a difference in people’s lives! We appreciate everyone who took part and know those who received your generosity feel the same.

Kids Movement is a San Fernando Valley-based non-profit that provides lunches to the less-fortunate in areas with a high level of homelessness such as Skid-Row. Their goal is to “end hunger one sandwich at a time.” If you or someone you know would like to donate or get involved, visit the Kids Movement website for more information: http://www.kidsmovement.org/
